What was done
3,353 of 8,610 functions of the 2005 virtual pet recovered as byte-matching C candidates, with the queue and verification of the DS decompilation pipeline.
A matching decompilation of Nintendogs: Dachshund and Friends on the Nintendo DS (USA, ADGE cartridge code) rebuilds the game as C that must compile back to identical bytes. It carries the same rules file for AI agents as the sibling projects and sits in the queue infrastructure behind DS Decomp Studio.
How it was done
Every counted function has to compile to the exact same bytes with the ROM rebuilding byte for byte, and a verification command prints whether a function passes. Automated translated drafts provide starting points, and each one must still clear the full verification before progress is recorded. The compiler is the original Metrowerks ARM toolchain, with its exact version still being probed.
Results
The progress table records 3,353 of 8,610 functions matched, or 17.16 percent of the code, all in the auto-matched class awaiting review, with data matching not yet started and overlapping, configurable entry points still open. No game assets are in the repository, and matching this largest of the three sibling titles will be the tracker that pushes the pipeline hardest.
