What was done
Japabu used Claude to decompile this 2000 PC game into C and C++ that Microsoft's old compilers turn back into the original code, function by function, and built a native Apple Silicon port from the source.
This repository decompiles Disney's Mickey Saves the Day 3D Adventure (2000), also released in German as Micky auf Ganovenjagd. Commits carry Claude co-author trailers.
How it was done
The C and C++ source is built with the original Microsoft compilers and checked function by function against the original binaries. Some functions are marked EQUIV when they were shown to be the same logic without matching byte for byte. The repository holds no game files and no Microsoft software. Scripts check the user's own game and compiler copies by SHA-256 and put them where the tools expect them. A native macOS port for Apple Silicon is built from the source, with sharper 3D characters and a cursor that shows what a click will do.
Results
The README progress bar shows 73.93% of game code. That is 16,931 of 18,138 functions, or 2,181 KiB of 2,949 KiB, compiling to identical bytes. Several smaller libraries are at 100%, and the large game DLLs sit between about 70% and 80%.
