What was done

HopeAero used Claude Code to statically recompile MLB Power Pros 2008 from the Wii, including the reverse engineering and documentation. The Windows beta boots to menus and plays full matches at 60 fps.

MLB Power Pros 2008 Recomp is a Windows version of the Wii baseball game. The README says it was made almost entirely with AI: nearly all the code, tools, reverse engineering and documentation were written by Claude through Claude Code, directed, tested and reviewed by one person.

How it was done

The game is recompiled ahead of time and rendered with Direct3D 12 or Vulkan, chosen automatically. A setup program takes the user's own legal copy. The repository holds no disc image, executable, assets, translated code or saves.

Results

The README labels it a Windows-only beta and states what was measured on the development PC. Boot to the strap screen and menus works at 60 FPS. Exhibition matches and the Home Run mode work and full matches have been played, with an automated test match at 60 FPS on both Direct3D 12 and Vulkan. Season, League and MLB Life are reachable but not tested system by system. Audio, including the commentator, is complete.
