What was done

ArkWeb runs Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered as a hidden guest next to Batman: Arkham Knight, so Spider-Man swings through Gotham. Claude Opus 5.5 co-authored the hooks and reverse engineering tools.

ArkWeb is an experimental single-player mod by luki-1 that lets you play Spider-Man's web swinging, wall running and point launches inside Batman: Arkham Knight's Gotham. The commits are co-authored by Claude Opus 5.5, which helped reverse engineer both games.

How it was done

Neither game is merged into the other. Spider-Man Remastered runs as a hidden guest and Arkham Knight is the host. A proxy DLL in each game (winmm.dll and dinput8.dll) shares state through shared memory. The Arkham side scans Gotham with the game's own traces and exports its PhysX statics and grapple points. A Python streamer turns them into Havok collision tiles and feeds them into Spider-Man's physics world, so he swings off Gotham's buildings. Spider-Man's rendered frame is captured and drawn into Arkham's view in Batman's place.

The repo includes reverse engineering helpers for PE files, RTTI, strings, disassembly and cross references, plus phase notes with addresses and formats. Spider-Man's joint hierarchy was not stored anywhere findable, so it was worked out from recorded motion and retargeted onto Batman's skeleton for fights. The hooks are bound to Spider-Man Remastered build 4.0630.

Results

It works end to end but is described as a research project with rough edges, such as gaps in collision when moving fast. The code contains no game files. It needs both games installed from Steam and is meant for offline play.
