saulob port statically recompiles the Xbox Live Arcade version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix with the ReXGlue SDK, with a launcher, offline achievements and experimental Linux builds. Bring your own package.
saulob port runs Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix from the Xbox Live Arcade package as native code on Windows, with experimental Linux and Steam Deck builds. The release checks the package title ID and the executable hash, extracts the game on your machine and refuses any other version. It uses the ReXGlue SDK static recompiler for Xbox 360 executables. The repository states that AI tools were used to assist with code analysis, development, debugging and documentation, with changes directed, tested and reviewed by the maintainer.
How it was done
The build pins ReXGlue SDK 0.10.0, checks the default.xex hash and generates C++ from it, and rebuilds the runtime and Xenos GPU plugin in the tools from the project own SDK patches before linking. The TRG launcher, pinned at v1.1.0, installs or reinstalls the game package and carries the display and graphics options, language choice, controls and the achievements page. Headless tests run with every release.
Results
The game runs at its original 60 updates per second in any window size with per-monitor high DPI support, render and internal render resolution controls, texture filtering, GPU selection, letterbox presentation and offline saves in a portable user data folder. The game 12 achievements and 200 gamerscore are kept on the PC with no Xbox Live connection, and the four achievements that need online ranked matches cannot be earned. Xbox controller and keyboard play work with no setup, an in-game frame counter is at hand on F2, and the unsigned release may trigger a Windows warning on first run.
