What was done
1475 recompiled functions on a PSXRecomp base with no ROM shipped, a working mod engine, and two mods by Claude Sonnet 5.5 that install as a single file.
A static recompilation of Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (USA disc) turns the MIPS code into a native executable, and a companion repository fills it with drop-in mods. Commits in the port carry Claude Opus 5.1 in long context as co-author, and the mods were built with Claude Sonnet 5.5.
How it was done
The port is built on PSXRecomp and bundles the recompiled OpenBIOS, so no console BIOS dump is required. The README reports 1475 functions with zero dispatch misses, overlays captured, compiled and natively loaded with zero invalidations, and the PlayStation peripherals simulated around the translated game code. Balls of evidence for the seeds and the overlay map are committed to the repository, and every derived artifact is generated on the player machine.
Results
The game boots to the title and plays town and farm content with in-engine cutscenes and audio via software SPU synthesis. The mod engine reads folders of mods next to the executable and rejects any mod file that fails to parse whole rather than half-applying it. Shipped mods so far are save anywhere from the field and triple speed dialogue, both pinned to the USA disc with an expected value check on every patch.
