What was done
A realtime demo shows the import working through folders, notes and images, built on what Claude Code worked out about the Notes data.
Ozgur Ozer used Claude Code to reverse engineer Apple Notes so that everything could be imported in bulk into Grape, another note taking app. The demo video shows the migration in real time, not sped up.
How it was done
Claude Code worked through the Notes data on disk and the way folders, note bodies and images are stored and referenced, producing an importer that walks the export structure and rebuilds it in the target app. The claims are made on the tweet with the video attached.
Results
Folders, notes and images all arrive in Grape from Apple Notes, with the import running live in the demo. The project is a personal data migration rather than a published tool, and the value for the site is the pattern: a consumer data format nobody documents, decoded with an agent in an afternoon.
