What was done
Claude Code, grounded by Ghidra and an emulator MCP server, built psxrecomp; the project now runs Tomba!, Ape Escape and Mega Man X4 to X6 natively.
Where the human stepped in
Without Ghidra as ground truth Claude speculated and burned tokens. The author played the game, reported bugs, and wrote rules forbidding edits to generated code. At the time of the write-up, sound and saving were still broken.
