What was done
A source-only static recompilation of Killzone: Liberation for Windows, with boot, menus, tutorial and the first mission reported complete. It requires user-supplied game data.
Killzone: Liberation Recomp is an experimental, source-only static recompilation of the PSP release identified by the repository as v1.20, product code UCUS-98646. The project translates the Allegrex module to C and links it with a game-specific high-level runtime. That runtime supplies the platform services needed by the port, including a Direct3D 12 renderer, XAudio2 audio, Media Foundation movie playback, and SDL-based window and controller input.
The documented status is partial: boot, menus, the Chapter 1 presentation, the tutorial, and the first mission have been completed. The project also describes a software reference rendering path, scalable internal resolution, PSP-compatible save handling, and support for the game's audio and movie formats. Later chapters, challenges, further validation, and long-running tests remain unfinished.
This is a Windows source release, not a redistributable game. The repository does not provide the original executable, generated game code, disc data, saves, or other game assets; users need their own legally obtained data. The maintainers describe it as work in progress and unaffiliated with Sony or Guerrilla.
Reproduce it
Follow the README extraction and build instructions with the supported user-supplied image. Do not distribute the image or generated game code.
