What was done
Claude analysed a Bluetooth capture of the official Govee app and derived the timer and clock commands of an H6001 bulb, which now runs from a single-file Web Bluetooth page.
Sebastian-Faeh built a single-file Web Bluetooth page for the Govee H6001 LED bulb. It switches the bulb, sets colour and writes the bulb's built-in daily sunrise or sunset timer, with no Govee app or account. Claude analysed the Bluetooth capture and derived the commands.
How it was done
The author supplied the bulb, captured the official app's Bluetooth traffic on Android and ran every test on the real bulb. Claude analysed the capture, derived the timer and clock commands and wrote the page, the documentation, the tools and the tests. PROTOCOL.md describes the GATT table and frame format with a status label per item: verified, observed or assumed. No app code was decompiled. Two small tools in the repo explore the protocol, one for raw commands and one for experiments on the timer records, and a script lists the GATT traffic in an Android Bluetooth snoop log.
Results
The page turns the bulb on and off, sets brightness, hue and saturation, selects a sunrise or sunset scene and saves one daily timer window, then reads it back to check the bulb accepted it. Packet formats are tested byte for byte against packets captured from the official app. It is marked experimental and was tested on one bulb with firmware 2.01.05, using Chrome on Android. Some behaviour, such as skipping chosen weekdays, does not work and is listed as a limit.
