What was done
Static recompilation of Wave Race: Blue Storm to native code, with VR, 60 fps and motion telemetry. Claude co-authorship is present in commits; the repository does not map those commits to specific tasks.
Wave Race: Blue Storm’s GameCube PowerPC executable is translated ahead of time into C and linked against a runtime that supplies virtual GameCube hardware. The project adds PC and standalone VR, a first-person camera, 60 fps support and telemetry for motion simulators. Its repository includes Claude agent configuration and Claude co-authored commits, though its README does not specify the AI’s task-by-task contribution, model version, time or cost.
Results
The repo supports the North American disc version and checks its executable hash. It distributes no game code or data: the build reads a disc image supplied by the user. Building requires CMake, Ninja and Python, with platform-specific compiler and SDL requirements.
Reproduce it
Use a legally obtained North American game disc and dump it to `rom/game.iso`. From the repository root, run `./build.sh` on macOS or `./build.ps1` on Windows, then run `./build/waverace`.
