This project provides a native Windows port of Medal of Honor: European Assault by statically recompiling the original Xbox executable. Developed with Claude Code, the port supports 4K resolution, widescreen, and native mouse input, though it remains in beta with known limitations.
The project provides a native Windows port of the original Xbox title Medal of Honor: European Assault by statically recompiling the game's DEFAULT.XBE file into an x86-64 executable. This process avoids Xbox CPU emulation, allowing the game to run natively on Windows 10 and 11. The author reports that the code was reverse-engineered and written interactively with Claude Code. Key features include Direct3D 11 rendering with support for 4K resolution, widescreen, adjustable field of view, and native mouse and keyboard input. The port also includes a custom launcher, mod support for textures and sounds, and an experimental Arabic language pack. Current limitations include stability issues at frame rates above 90 fps, occasional audio cutouts during long sessions, and experimental status for weapon and sound modifications. The developer notes that only the USA/NTSC-U version of the game is supported.
