KameoRecomp translates the original Xbox 360 game code to C++ for native Windows execution. It utilizes the ReXGlue SDK, which features a runtime derived from Xenia, and the NativeXRenderer for Vulkan-based graphics.
KameoRecomp is a static recompilation project that translates the original Xbox 360 code of Kameo: Elements of Power into C++ for native execution on Windows. The project operates on top of the ReXGlue SDK, which contains a runtime derived from the Xenia emulator. Graphics are handled by NativeXRenderer, which executes the game's original graphics calls using the Vulkan API. The project was developed by Gustavo Garcia with the help of Claude (Anthropic). According to the documentation, Thorn's Castle and the first areas of the Enchanted Kingdom have been played without problems, while later levels have not been tested yet. Users must provide their own original USA disc to create an ISO image for the launcher to install the game files. The project is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft or Rare.
