What was done

A VST2 instrument for Akai MPC devices that uses the Machinedrum’s DSP and OS code, with sample-by-sample checks against an emulator and hardware testing.

Machinemodule adapts the Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 UW sound engine into a VST2 instrument for standalone Akai MPC hardware. The project uses the Machinedrum's own DSP code and its machine, LFO, and mixer calculations, exposing the 16 tracks through one plugin instance. A touchscreen skin and Q-Link controls provide an interface designed for MPC use.

The repository reports that the instrument can play, save, and reload with a project, and that it has been tested on an Akai Force running MPC OS 3.9.1. It notes a compatibility difference on MPC OS 2.x: the plugin can load and play from Q-Links, but the touchscreen page is not available there yet. The Machinedrum's master reverb and delay are not included as built-in effects; the project instead documents separate output taps.

There is no downloadable plugin build because the installation must be built using the user's own Machinedrum firmware. The repository provides a build script and describes the required files. It does not distribute Elektron firmware or other Elektron assets and is not affiliated with Elektron.
