What was done
A Savant component profile for the EverLights permanent lighting bridge, with state read back from the lights themselves, built with Claude in every commit.
A Savant smart-home component drives EverLights permanent roofline lighting over the v3 bridge local LAN API. Every commit in the repository carries Claude Opus 5.5 as co-author.
How it was done
EverLights publishes no API, so the profile uses the undocumented local REST calls on the bridge that the community worked out, applied on SavantOS 11.2.1 with a v3 bridge and zone firmware N3063. Each of the 96 built-in shows plus a warm white default becomes a Savant lighting switch, addressed by the show alias the bridge echoes back, so switch state comes from the lights rather than from an assumption. Show bodies are editable in the Blueprint inspector, so seasonal looks change without touching XML.
Results
Switches start and stop shows in both directions: shows launched from Savant light their own switch, and shows launched from the EverLights app light the master switch. A status poll every 10 seconds keeps sync, a preflight script proves the bridge API end to end before wiring it into a config, and a helper bulk-adds the 97 lighting rows. Firmware updates on the vendor side remain the known fragility of this class of integration.
