What was done

A Claude-assisted protocol reference with 1,500 variables, checked on a NeXtage 16 and a Pulse2.

stoatworks-labs published a reference for the TCP control protocol of Analog Way Midra and LiveCore video processors. The repo says it was written with Claude, directed and reviewed by a human, and is reverse engineered rather than vendor documentation.

How it was done

The reference describes the wire format, the variable model and full variable tables, as implemented by the openrcs control software. Both sides have since been checked against real hardware, LiveCore on a NeXtage 16 and Midra on a Pulse2. The author asks readers to treat per-variable ranges as strong guidance, because the device always has the final say. The project is not affiliated with Analog Way.

Results

The repo covers framing on TCP port 10500, terminators, push updates, error codes, all 562 Midra variables and 1,014 LiveCore variables, with machine readable JSON tables. It is documentation only, aimed at people building control software. The text is CC BY 4.0.
