What was done
Work-in-progress byte-matching decompilation of Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, with a long-term native PC port goal. Claude co-authorship appears in the commit history; the project does not detail a task-by-task AI split.
Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 are being decompiled from their original Nintendo DS code. The repository says both US and European ROMs rebuild byte for byte from the same source tree, and CI tracks matching progress across ARM9, overlays, game code and libraries. Repository-level agent instructions and Claude co-authored commits are evidence of AI participation, but the README does not assign specific reverse-engineering tasks to Claude or report a model version, time or cost.
Results
This remains a work in progress; a native PC port is a long-term goal. No ROMs are included. The documented build uses the user’s own ROM dump and checks the output against its expected hash.
Reproduce it
The repository documents a byte-matching build. Supply your own US ROM dump in `orig/` using the documented filename, then run `python3 configure.py` and `ninja`. ROMs are not distributed by the project.
