GBARecomp

A static recompilation framework that turns Game Boy Advance ARM and Thumb code into native C++.

About GBARecomp

GBARecomp translates a Game Boy Advance game's ARM7TDMI ARM and Thumb machine code into C++, compiles it into a native application and links it against a shared runtime for the PPU, audio, DMA, timers, interrupts, saves and input. Code it cannot resolve statically runs in a fallback interpreter tier. It is in beta. Game ports built on it, such as Mega Man Zero and Mario Kart: Super Circuit, add widescreen, link-cable netplay and save states; the player supplies the ROM and BIOS. The repository includes a `CLAUDE.md` guide and many commits are co-authored by Claude, although the command-line tools work without an AI assistant.
