A work-in-progress static recompilation of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for native PC, with source and build instructions; the game files are not included.
EoWRecomp is an early static recompilation of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for native desktop and mobile platforms. The repository describes translating the Switch game's ARM64 instructions ahead of time into C, then compiling that generated code for the host system. A project runtime replaces parts of the Switch operating system and graphics interface, with Vulkan used for rendering.
The project builds on the LAS Recomp work for Link's Awakening. Its README reports that the game boots into the opening and first controllable scene on Linux, while macOS and Android builds are still being brought up. It is explicitly early development, so this is not yet a complete playable port. Users must provide their own game files; the repository does not include them.
The authors say Claude Code was used for most of the development, with a human directing and testing the work. The repository includes source, build guidance, status documentation, and project screenshots. Its stated MIT license applies to the project code, not to Nintendo's game or assets.
Reproduce it
Follow the repository build instructions and provide your own game files. The repository does not distribute them.
