What was done

Marchwind 64 is an unofficial native recompilation of Super Robot Wars 64 for modern platforms, featuring widescreen support, HD art, and full English and Chinese translations.

Marchwind 64 is an unofficial project that provides a native recompilation of the 1999 Nintendo 64 game Super Robot Wars 64. The project enables the game to run natively on Windows, macOS, Linux, Steam Deck, Android, and Nintendo Switch. The recompilation includes full English and Chinese translations, widescreen support, and an optional HD art pack. The project also implements original bug fixes, such as corrections to ESP and Holy Warrior skill calculations, and provides optional rule adjustments for gameplay convenience. The interface has been updated with modern features, including a dialogue reader, redesigned pre-battle screens, and a unit library. Graphics are rendered using RT64, and the project supports RetroArch slang shader presets for visual filtering. The project requires the user to provide their own Japanese ROM (Rev 0). Development commits credit co-authorship by Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Opus 5.5. Further details are available at the project website.
