What was done

An unofficial project aiming to statically recompile the PlayStation Vita game Killzone Mercenary into a native Windows x64 executable using the vitarecomp framework, targeting 30 fps or higher via Direct3D 12 or Vulkan backends.

Killzone Mercenary Recomp is an ongoing project to statically recompile the PlayStation Vita release of Killzone Mercenary into a native Windows x64 executable. The project utilizes the Tzeentchnet/vitarecomp framework to perform ARM/Thumb to C translation of game modules. The native host supports rendering through Direct3D 12 or Vulkan. Vita3K is employed as an external tool for content preparation and as a behavioral reference, but it is not integrated into the build. As of the current development stage, the foundation (M0) is complete, with work progressing on lifting and linking (M1) and title code integration (M2). The game does not yet boot; public builds currently exit with a title_not_implemented status. The project is co-authored with Claude Opus 5.5, which assisted in refocusing documentation and planning around the 30 fps performance goal. The repository includes no game data or playable builds, requiring users to provide their own lawfully obtained content. Source: Killzone Mercenary Recomp
