clipparse is a C++17 library designed to read, composite, edit, and write CLIP STUDIO PAINT .clip files. The format was reverse-engineered from real files, with distinctions between measured and inferred data documented in the repository. The library provides pybind11-based Python bindings and includes command-line utilities for file probing, validation, and repair. Writing operations, including canvas rebuilding and layer manipulation, have been verified to open in CLIP STUDIO PAINT PRO 5.0.4. While the library supports 27 blend modes, folders, masks, and various adjustment layers, it does not support vector layers or specific adjustment types such as levels, color balance, posterize, and gradient maps. The project includes conversion tools for CLIP to PSD and vice versa, with verification options. Development credits include wtnbgo, with co-authorship contributions from Claude Opus 5 and Claude Fable 5. Documentation and source code are available at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wamsoft/clipparse/HEAD/README.md.
Reproduce it
