About Wakaru
Wakaru is a JavaScript decompiler for inspecting production frontend code. It separates supported bundles into modules and rewrites their syntax trees to make minified and transpiled output easier to read. Its documented inputs include webpack, esbuild/Bun, Browserify and Metro bundles, plus output from Babel, TypeScript and SWC. The project offers a command-line interface, standalone releases and an online playground. It also supplies a coding-agent skill for unpacking bundles and focusing analysis on relevant modules. This makes it useful as reverse-engineering infrastructure in agent-assisted workflows; this listing does not claim that Wakaru itself was built using AI. Recovery has limits. Original identifier names cannot always be restored without source maps, and heavy control-flow or virtual-machine obfuscation needs other tooling. Package inventory is described as under development rather than part of the released feature set.
