About LIEF
LIEF is a library for working with executable formats, including ELF, PE and Mach-O. It exposes binary structures such as sections, symbols and relocations, with APIs for modifying files and writing the result back to disk. For reverse engineering workflows, it provides a programmable foundation for inspecting executable metadata and building repeatable binary analysis or transformation scripts. It offers C++, Python and Rust APIs. This listing describes an analysis dependency that can be used in agent workflows; it does not claim LIEF itself was created using AI. The core library is licensed under Apache-2.0. LIEF Extended offers additional capabilities, including assembly, disassembly and advanced debug-information tooling; those should not be assumed to be included in the open-source core.
